Turners (Soham) has purchased 80% of haulier Jack Richards & Son, in a move that sees it enter the general haulage market for the first time. Fuel hauliers have welcomed the launch of a national training safety-standard for tanker drivers, and are gearing up to put their staff through the Petroleum Drivers’ Passport (PDP) scheme.
