Norbert Dentressangle has won a £3m two-year contract with Nestlé Waters UK to provide an intermodal operation for importing bottled water from mainland Europe. The logistics giant will make around 900 scheduled collections and deliveries a year, moving full trailer and container loads at fixed times. This will involve collecting Vittel from the eponymous town, and Perrier from Vergeze, in France. Norbert Dentressangle will cease providing warehousing and distribution services to collapsed retail chain Comet from tomorrow (21 December). Last month the operator warned its five-year £100m contract with Comet, which it only signed earlier this year, was in the hands of the retail chain’s administrator Deloitte.
