NV Transport in Chichester has entered liquidation with the loss of 50 jobs. Following a meeting at the company on 29 May, FRP was appointed to voluntarily wind up the business and auction off its assets. According to joint liquidator Ian Vickers, the business, whose principal trading address was in Runcton and which operated a total of 42 HGVs and 63 trailers out of three bases in the south east, had experienced cashflow pressures and ceased trading on 14 May. City Link’s administrators have made more than 2,300 staff at the failed business redundant.
The Charles Gee Group of Companies, parent company to C & H (Hauliers), entered administration today (21 October) following “acute cashflow problems”.
