BP says it is “disappointed” that the Unite union’s tanker driver members have voted in favour of industrial action over safety, training and terms and conditions. Thirty Wincanton drivers claiming they are owed thousands of pounds in holiday pay are to launch a 72-hour strike at Argos’s national distribution centre five days before Christmas.
Former Eddie Stobart chief Andrew Tinkler has confirmed his intention to bid for Eddie Stobart Logistics (ESL) just hours after Wincanton withdrew from the fray and is warning that a rival bid from DBAY Advisors is not in the interests of ESL shareholders.
