Three men convicted of “industrial scale” tachograph manipulation have been jailed for a total of nine years at Preston Crown Court. Darren Millington of Hinstock, Shrops and Stephen Young of Goldthorn Ave, Wolverhampton were convicted of conspiracy to falsify drivers’ records and money laundering following a five-week trial. The Fors Community Partnership (FCP) has announced an immediate change to the way firms are allowed to progress through the Fors accreditation levels.
The DVSA has confirmed it is to publish three new forms of guidance on load security. This will comprise a guide for vehicle operators, a leaflet aimed at drivers, and a series of instructional videos.
