Bath’s clean air zone (CAZ) plans could be delayed after the council received an unprecedented number of responses to its consultation with significant numbers demanding mitigation measures for local businesses and residents. The Welsh Government has launched a consultation on introducing clean air zones (CAZs) in areas with poor air quality, which could see the most polluting lorries and vans prevented from entering, or charged for access.
The FTA has urged operators to join its Logistics Carbon Reduction Scheme (LCRS) to strengthen its efforts to avoid government action over commercial vehicle emissions.
