Hiab will be exhibiting its range of urban load-handling equipment at next month’s Freight in the City Expo on 6 November in London.
It will be welcoming visitors to its stand for the fourth consecutive year at the expo to show how it can provide clean, safe and quiet options for city centre deliveries.

On display at this year’s Freight in the City Expo - courtesy of Keyline, part of the Travis Perkins Group - will be Hiab’s ePTO (electric Power Take-Off) crane system.
Hiab’s ePTO enables all Hiab equipment - loader cranes, hook lifts and skiploaders - to be operated with the vehicle engine switched off, providing an exhaust-fume-free environment for the crane operator.
Comprising a battery, an electric motor, a hydraulic pump and a smart electronic control system, the ePTO reduces noise levels, lessens environmental impact and improves energy efficiency compared to a diesel-powered system.
Also on display will be the E4 MOFFETT, part of the E-series electric-powered truck-mounted forklift range. Powered by lithium-ion battery technology, the E4 MOFFETT offers high lifting capacity and is completely emission free. Its near-silent operation makes it suited for urban distribution and night-time deliveries in residential areas where noise reduction is essential.
The E4 MOFFETT heading to Freight in the City is supplied by Topps Tiles, which this year ordered an additional 14 units to enable it to deliver stock outside of store trading hours more effectively.
Completing the line-up will be a MULTILIFT Futura 12 skiploader, brought to the expo by recycling firm Bywaters.
The completely redesigned lightweight steel construction of the MULTILIFT Futura, gives 300kg-500kg more legal payload without compromising strength. That means operators can haul more while saving fuel and reducing CO2 emissions. It also helps save wear and tear on city streets.
