Hermes has opened a new 80,000ft² parcel depot at Prologis Park in Hemel Hempstead ahead of its predicted “busiest peak season to date”. Myhermes.co.uk has delivered its two millionth parcel just 10 months after reaching the one million mark in June last year. Following high levels of demand over the Christmas period, which saw volumes double during the busiest shopping week to more than 60,000 parcels per day, the company says the service is rapidly gaining business from online traders and niche retailers.
