Insurer Fiducia has launched a combined liability insurance product targeting “well managed” hauliers and warehouse operators.
Leeds-based Fiducia said the new insurance scheme would complement its freight liability for goods in transit insurance product.
“Our broker partners have been asking us for this as they want one point of contact for employers liability/public liability/goods in transit cover, and it is something we are in a position to provide and meet those needs,” said underwriter David Heeney
“This is very much aimed at well managed hauliers and warehouse keepers as we are seeing that these types of clients are not being recognised at renewal by the incumbent insurer who is applying a broad-brush rating increase”.
The cover is also available as a standalone product without the need for Fiducia to underwrite the freight liability.
“We have worked hard with our capacity providers to create a cover that ticks the boxes that the brokers and more importantly their haulier clients were requesting,” he added.
Heeney said the product is competitively priced and recognises the challenges haulage and warehousing clients face.
