A degree-level apprenticeship standard will be available to the supply chain sector from mid-2018, after Uniserve Group’s Supply Chain Leadership framework was approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships. Royal Mail managers have voted to accept an increased pay offer, resolving a conflict that saw 4,800 of the carrier’s employees take industrial action earlier this year.
Ofcom is concerned that Royal Mail could potentially cross-subsidise its parcels operation through its letters business, as its market share and delivery network is much more established in the latter.
