A degree-level apprenticeship standard will be available to the supply chain sector from mid-2018, after Uniserve Group’s Supply Chain Leadership framework was approved by the Institute for Apprenticeships. Sainsbury’s has received accreditation to the FTA’s Van Excellence scheme, the 25th van operator to do so since the scheme began in 2010. The retailer runs a fleet of 1,400 vans, and employs some 4,000 drivers, and it satisfactorily achieved the standards laid out in Van Excellence code – which are agreed by a governance group of leading van fleet operators.
