Eddie Stobart is facing a third strike by its drivers based at Tesco’s Doncaster DC. Although the operator and Unite had been in talks via Acas in a bid to resolve the long-running jobs dispute, efforts to find a way forward have failed. Unite has criticised Royal Mail for refusing to up a proposed pay increase, despite reporting a £608m profit in its latest results.
Unite members at Gist have been advised to accept a proposed increase in paid holiday after the two parties reached an agreement, avoiding a strike which was scheduled for 30 August.
