Wincanton has appointed David Hauff as general manager of Wincanton’s EnergyLink operation. The EnergyLink service which Hauff will head up was launched in 2016, and aims to support the ground fuels, aviation and bitumen markets by lowering distribution costs. Wincanton-owned 4PL business Flatnet Construction is looking to recruit more hauliers having completed more than 32,000 loads in its first 21 months of trading.
Wincanton has said it doesn’t expect to be affected by the dispute between union Unite and Argos over the proposed transfer of almost 100 drivers despite managing the majority of the retailer’s transport operation.
Wincanton is to sell its records management business (WRM) to market specialists Restore for £60m after signing a conditional agreement.
