Palletways has taken 67 new Mercedes-Benz trucks in a range of sizes to be distributed among its UK depots. Provided by S&B Commercials, the new vehicles are on a contract hire agreement through Mercedes-Benz finance. The Office of Fair Trading (OFT) is about to enter the final stage of its investigation into Mercedes-Benz and five vehicle dealerships over suspected breaches of the Competition Act in the distribution of commercial vehicles. Palletways Fulfilment, the warehousing arm of the pallet network, has won a contract with OrganiCulture, a distributor and retailer of organic products from Italy.
Having achieved record volume last year 2013 is set to be another record breaker, with the UK’s nine pallet networks on course to handle the most pallets through their systems that they have ever done since the launch of the concept two decades ago.
