Jonathan Smith is to leave Yodel at the end of the year after leading the company through the integration of HDNL and the domestic B2B and B2C parts of DHL Express (UK), Motortransport.co.uk can reveal. A successor to Smith will be sought, but in the interim he will work alongside executive chairman Dick Stead. Yodel has said it is on target to turn a profit for the first time since it started trading in 2010, following the departure of its chief executive Neil Lloyd.
Just before he left the business in January, Yodel’s then CEO Mike Cooper told MT about his four-point plan to turn Yodel around from years of losses to profitability.
