The future of Vauxhall’s Ellesmere Port factory is jeopardised by high manufacturing costs and Brexit, according to owner PSA Group CEO Carlos Tavares. UK commercial vehicle manufacturing output fell for the fifth month in a row, down by 45.4% in February, as supply chain shortages, new customs processes and prolonged global lockdown measures hit output – resulting in the worst February on record.
Pallet-Track said an initial impact on its sales volumes during the first two months of lockdown in March had been reversed and its activity levels were already exceeding original forecasts.
