Aggregate Industries will expect all its sub-contractors to have at least bronze level FORS accreditation by March 2018. The decision will affect more than 600 sub-contractors, and Aggregate Industries has committed to paying 20% of the annual FORS subscription fee those in the scheme pay. Fors has signed up Licence Bureau, the driver licence checking service, to provide operators with a system to ensure drivers have the correct licences and qualifications.
Wilson James has gained Fors Champion status through development of a delivery management system that displays operators’ Fors accreditation to ensure only compliant trucks are used for delivery to construction sites.
