Freightmaster Haulage and Storage has achieved gold level in FORS.

Based in North Lincolnshire, Freightmaster works on a range of contracts, with around half of its business involving the transportation of bespoke-cut concrete panels from a Lincolnshire-based manufacturer, to construction clients in London.

Freightmaster joined FORS in 2013, progressing to silver level soon after.

Freightmaster transport manager Jo Oakley said: “Initially, becoming a FORS member meant we could meet the tough demands of our construction clients and specifiers, who are working to higher and higher environmental and emissions standards.

“But we quickly realised that FORS fits with our business ethos and targets, for example, helping us to become more fuel efficient, and better train our drivers.”

Freightmaster said its 10-strong fleet had achieved a reduction in emissions and a cut in the number of PCNs issued to its drivers as a consequence of incorporating FORS best practice into its business.
