XPO Logistics has promoted its MD of European supply chain to the role of European CEO.

Malcolm Wilson replaces Troy Cooper. Cooper had held the role since XPO bought Norbert Dentressangle in 2015, as well as his position as global chief operating officer (COO). Cooper continues in the global COO role.

Wilson joined the business in its Norbert Dentressangle days in 2007, when he was appointed MD of logistics.

Cooper described Wilson as "uniquely qualified to lead XPO Logistics Europe".

XPO Logistics CEO Bradley Jacobs said: “I want to commend Troy for leading our European business through a highly successful integration over the last two years, and establishing the XPO brand in new markets.

"Troy’s international perspective as our chief operating officer is extremely valuable as we execute our growth strategy.”

Wilson's former role as MD supply chain, Europe, will be filled by Richard Cawston. He was UK MD of XPO's supply chain division.
