Kammac has joined Pallet-Track, taking on the WA postcode that is being vacated by Abbey Logistics Group at the end of next month.
The operator, formed in the 1980s by MD Paul Kamel, has depots in Lancashire, Merseyside, Nottinghamshire and Staffordshire.
It employs more than 350 people and specialises in contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, onsite logistics and contract packing, along with keg and cask rental and sale.
Kammac added that it is working to offer staff affected by Abbey’s decision to exit the pallet business the opportunity to transfer their employment to the company. The number this offer will be extended to will run into at least double figures, the operator added.
Wolverhampton-based logistics specialist Pallet-Track recently saw the 20 millionth pallet move through its network since inception in 2004.
