Drivers at the Co-op Food’s West Thurrock distribution depot are threatening strike action after two disabled drivers were dismissed. DHL Tradeteam is facing the threat of industrial action less than a month after it began integrating Carlsberg UK’s secondary logistics operation into one of its depots.
DHL said it was willing to work with Unite to resolve a dispute at its Dartford distribution centre, which the trade union claimed had been designed to weaken its protection of staff.
Unite the union has threatened to put a vote for industrial action to its members employed by DHL Supply Chain, unless guarantees are made over their pension schemes.
