Palletline

Palletline has welcomed three new members; IJ McGill, F and G Transport and HE Baldry Haulage.

IJ McGill is returning to Palletline after two years at Fortec; F and G transport will be moving from UPN; and HE Baldry Haulage will be making the shift from Palletways.

Bristol-based IJ McGill, which will be replacing replacing East West Transport of Bristol, originally left Palletline for Fortec because it wanted a smaller network, but decided to come back to guarantee growth. It is looking to open a site in West Bromwich and already has sites in Plymouth, Manchester and High Wycombe.

MD Ian McGill said: “With 38 years’ experience in the logistics sector it was critical we took stock of our previous experience as part of a network model and make the right decision to guarantee our company’s future growth.”

Bognor Regis-based F and G Transport, which is replacing Tomsetts of Newhaven, will cover the BN postcodes. It was previously a subcontractor for Palletline, but has now become a full member.

F and G Transport MD Emma Lindsley said: “We were looking for the additional growth that a larger network would provide us, in addition to the enhanced stability and strategic opportunities the member-owned model could provide.”

Lynfield, Surrey-based HE Baldry Haulage, which has been operating since 1938, will be covering the RH postcodes.

MD Chris Baldry said: “Our company’s decision to change networks was a strategic one, to ensure the company would be able to continue its growth.”

Palletline MD Graham Leitch said: “We have been recruiting high quality transport businesses as we embark on our next stage of growth. During the last twelve months we have been extremely pleased with our new recruits.”
