Clipper Logistics has signed a five-year deal with Edinburgh Woollen Mill.

The operator will provide services on “a predominately exclusive basis”.

Steve Parkin, executive chairman of Clipper, said: “Clipper began its relationship with Edinburgh Woollen Mill Group last year.

“I am delighted that throughout a detailed tender process, we have been able to demonstrate our ability to act proactively as a team and to develop a logistics solution that will make a real difference to its business.

“We are delighted to have finalised this long-term contract to enable us to support the operations and anticipated growth of the group throughout the UK.”

Mark Hebditch, group logistics director at Edinburgh Woollen Mill, said: “We are delighted to have successfully concluded our negotiations and to be entering into a contractual relationship with Clipper, initially for five years, but we hope that it will be a long, successful and prosperous partnership for both parties.”

Clipper’s recent full-year results showed an increase in both turnover and profit.
