Advanced Supply Chain Group (ASCG) has refreshed its fleet with 56 Mercedes-Benz Actros with 450hp and StreamSpace cabs, in a deal valued at £5.7m. The vehicles, which have Vision Techniques’ anti-roll away BrakeSafe system, were provided by Hexagon Leasing under a three-year contract. The two firms have been working together for more than 10 years. Ocado has ticked 35 new Mercedes-Benz Actros tractor units off its shopping list with the latest additions to its fleet.
Stefan Buchner has been in charge of Mercedes-Benz Trucks since January 2013, taking over just 12 months before the introduction of Euro-6 – arguably the most significant change in emissions standards since the introduction of Euro-3 in 2006. Buchner has been with Daimler for almost 30 years, the first 20 in cars the last 10 in trucks, but until recently always working in procurement or production.
