DPD research has revealed that three-quarters (73%) of Brits have ditched their online shop at checkout stage due to restrictive or expensive delivery options. Around 40% of shoppers complained that they are not generally offered a free delivery option, despite the fact this is the preferred choice for three-quarters of consumers. Wincanton has signed a ‘sweet’ new contract with British Sugar, the company responsible for around half of the UK’s sugar.
Wincanton looks to be on course to achieve its stated aim of returning to profit this year, despite the impending loss of its finance director.
