DHL Supply Chain has renewed its two-man delivery contract with Next for a further three years. DHL Supply Chain is facing up to 15 days of strike action from its warehouse workers in protest at the “brutal” planned closure of its South Yorkshire site, following the loss of a contract to Great Bear Distribution.
Expect Distribution is hoping to expand its contract logistics business and consolidate its three West Yorkshire sites this year, as it celebrates its 25 year anniversary.
DHL said that it remains satisfied with the performance of its Supply Chain subsidiary, despite a 23% year-on-year fall in turnover caused in part by a change in the way its NHS Supply Chain contract reports revenue.
