Wincanton has warned of “trading profit headwinds” that it experienced in April, May and June, but expects pre-tax profit to remain inline with expectations. Wincanton has clinched a major contract with BAE Systems to supply its Military Air and Information (MAI) operations.
UK Mail has said that it saw a 6% increase in turnover in the first quarter of the year, with a strong performance across its parcels and mail divisions as well as an increase in its UK Pallets division.
Asda has renewed Wincanton’s contract to manage and operate the supermarket’s DCs in Doncaster and Larne, Northern Ireland. The renewal runs until early 2016, and extends a relationship begun in 2005 at Larne and 2007 in Doncaster, which was Asda’s first NDC for general merchandise.
