Former Axis Fleet Management operations director Nigel Bailey is taking on the role of MD at trailer repair and maintenance company Bullwell Trailer Solutions.

Bailey (pictured above) is replacing Bullwell Trailer Solutions founder Gary Bulley who is taking up the role of head of engineering innovations at parent company Ryder.

Bailey is tasked with driving up customer service across the firm’s nationwide network and boosting the firm’s team of specialist engineers to meet growing demand.

Bailey said his new role presented “a new challenge and a great opportunity", adding that he plans to use Ryder’s financial backing to strengthen the company’s client offering.

“Growing our team of specialist engineers will also be a priority over the next 12 months, as well as further investment in new technology and equipment.

"Overall demand for our services continues to grow as fleet operators are becoming increasingly aware of the environmental and economic benefits of mobile maintenance and repair.”

Bulley said: “Bullwell has gone from strength to strength over the past 10 years, and Nigel has the knowledge and passion to take Bullwell forward.

"With a new role ahead of me as head of engineering innovation at Ryder, I’m looking forward to seeing what comes next for both Ryder and Bullwell.”

In its latest reported annual results to 31 December 2015, Bullwell Trailer Solutions delivered pre-tax profits on ordinary activities of £7.7m (2014: £8.2m) and revenues of £991,808 in the same period (2014: £1.1m).
