Ryder has appointed a new sales and marketing director in a drive to generate more business for the rental firm.
John Murray, formerly general manager of trailer operations, has an industry career spanning more than 40 years, including 23 years with Freuhauf Corporation.
He has also held senior management roles at TIP Trailer Services, TLS and Avis Fleet Services.
Murray joined Ryder in 2010.
He said: "I want to further develop our sales team to ensure we’re doing all that we can to drive efficiencies and improvements in our customers’ operations.
"We know that vehicle uptime, health and safety, compliance, and peak rental coverage are priorities for our customers, and we’ll continue to focus on those key aspects of our service offering."
He replaces Robin White, who has moved to Nationwide Platforms.
