Rhys Davies and Sons’ decision to ditch its unprofitable accounts last year has been vindicated, the Cardiff-based logistics and warehousing company said in its latest annual results. Reporting for the year to 31 August 2016, the firm, which trades as Rhys Davies Logistics, said that while turnover fell by more than 10% to £37.5m (2015: £41.7m). A “strong” pipeline of new business in its logistics division helped Clipper Group offset a serious decline in turnover at its CV dealerships in the year to the end of April 2013, the firm’s annual accounts reveal.
C Butt made a loss for the year ending April 2016 of almost £356,000, but added its balance sheet and cash reserves remained strong.
