Expect Distribution wins three-year deal with Stores Direct

Expect Distribution has signed a three-year warehousing and distribution deal with online retailer Stores Direct, expanding the scope of the eight-year relationship between the two parties.

The Bradford-based operator will store products, receive orders from consumers, pick and then deliver direct to residential addresses. Stores Direct trades as stovesareus.co.uk, fireplacesareus.co.uk and bathroomsareus.co.uk.

Stores Direct MD Dave Duffy said: “Our relationship with Expect goes beyond picking and delivering our products; they have been a key link in our supply chain. Their stock control and allocation systems integrate seamlessly with our online order systems that means our websites show real-time stock availability when they shop.”

He added: “This is absolutely crucial for us to maintain revenue levels and helps us deliver industry-leading customer service.”

Expect will also run liveries of Stores Direct’s main consumer-facing brands: stovesareus.co.uk and fireplacesareus.co.uk.
