Wincanton has expanded its construction fleet after winning an eight-year contract with Hanson last year, which made it the first 3pl to move into the ready-mixed concrete sector.
The operator has bought 26 new Feldbinder tankers mounted on Mercedes-Benz chassis.
Wincanton delivers half a million cubic meters of ready-mixed contrete to Hanson's customers every year under the terms of the deal.
Four of the new tankers have capacity for 47m³ of bulk ash, while the remaining 22 can hold 36m³ of bulk cement or sand.
