Widdowson Logistics, part of the Davis Haulage Group, has entered administration once again. The move came a month after stablemate Davis Haulage, which was subject to a company voluntary arrangement, also appointed administrators and was subsequently purchased by Buffaload Logistics. Norbert Dentressangle will cease providing warehousing and distribution services to collapsed retail chain Comet from tomorrow (21 December). Last month the operator warned its five-year £100m contract with Comet, which it only signed earlier this year, was in the hands of the retail chain’s administrator Deloitte. DBC Foodservice had no vehicle assets despite having 230 of them when it went under in March, as its fleet was run on a contract-hire basis.
