Bibby Distribution has extended its long-running contract with interior fit-out business Havelock. The 12-month extension to the contract, which began in 2003, will see the relationship between the companies reach the 14-year mark. Bibby collects interior furnishings from Havelock’s DC in Dysart, Fife and delivers to them to schools, stores and offices across the UK. The Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) – also still known separately as the Driving Standards Agency and Vosa – has said it is not surprised that under 10% of respondents to its recent Driver CPC consultation felt the new qualification had significantly improved road safety.
Bibby Distribution has won a contract with bread maker Frank Roberts and Sons, which trades as Roberts Bakery, after a 12 month trial of the operation.
In 2012, Bibby training subsidiary System Training recorded a shock pre-tax loss of £7.5m, pushing its parent Bibby Distribution Services (Holdings) into a £4.6m loss.In 2013, System’s operating losses were cut to a “marginal” £500,000, and in its annual report Bibby said the business was now “more streamlined and focused” and that work was continuing to return it to profit.
