Gist has signed an unspecified extension to its five-year old contract with Starbucks to provide UK in-bound, storage, order processing and delivery-to-store services. Gist has expanded its contract with Young’s Seafood with additional volumes out of its sites in Grimsby and Fraserburgh.
Apprentices will play a major part at the FTA’s Logistics Skills Summit that takes place next month, with a focus on the association’s apprentices currently conducting a three-year scheme at operator Gist.
Gist has re-branded and restructured the European arm of its business, bringing several different operating companies and centres under one roof. In 2005 Gist acquired G Van Dongen Holdings, a conglomerate of seven temperature-controlled operators based in the Netherlands and Spain, with a customer base including Flowerplus, Fritolay, Maersk, and Tetrapak.
