Pall-Ex has signed four new members to cover postcodes in Manchester; the West Midlands and Kent as it looks to expand its offering both in the UK and Europe. Manchester-based Harbour International Freight will cover parts of the BL and M postcode areas; Advanced Delivery Systems will manage parts of the WS postcode; and 999 Logistics will cover parts of the ME and TN postcodes. Pall-Ex has restructured a number of its member postcodes in a move that sees two new members join the network from rival Palletways.
Pall-Ex has confirmed C Butt will be taking on the postcode currently run by Mainland, following the latter’s merger with Knights of Old. Kettering-based Knights of Old is a member of the Palletforce network, while Northampton’s Mainland runs in the Pall-Ex network. The businesses merged last year. Parcel carrier CitySprint saw delivery volumes drop in London during the Games. The company, which handles B2B and consumer deliveries, made 75,000 deliveries to London postcodes during the Games. This was a 12% drop in volume compared with the 16 days proceeding the event (23 June to 7 July).
