European truck manufacturers have been hit with a record €2.9bn (£2.5bn) fine after they colluded for 14 years on truck pricing and on passing on the costs of compliance with emissions rules. XPO Logistics has added a further 100 trucks and 78 trailers to its fleet – bringing its total vehicle parc in the UK primarily dedicated to specific customer contracts to 1,747 vehicles and 3,144 trailers.
Daimler Trucks said its hydrogen-powered fuel-cell HGV will be tested on public roads before the end of the year, with customer trials scheduled for 2023.
