Transport minister Andrew Jones and new deputy chair of TfL Valerie Shawcross will speak at LowCVP’s Annual Conference on 30 June.
This year’s event – A low Carbon Transport Future: The UK capability to lead the way - will focus on how the UK is placed to develop and benefit from low-carbon propulsion technology of the future.
Jones has been confirmed as the afternoon key note speaker for the event, while newly appointed deputy mayor for transport and deputy chair of TfL Shawcross will give the key note speech in the morning.
The conference will tackle topics such as how intelligent and autonomous technology can change the outlook for transport carbon emissions; energy infrastructure, such as an EV-ready powergrid; and a look at future vehicle designs.
Conference delegates will also have the chance of a VIP tour of the Make the Future London exhibition and an opportunity to see the teams' concepts for the future of efficient vehicles in action at the Shell Eco-marathon.
Make the Future is taking place from 30 June to 3 July, and will provide a platform for innovation, collaboration and conversation about the global energy challenge.
Through virtual reality experiences and hands-on science experiments, visitors will explore what is happening now and what the future of energy might look like, from renewables to natural gas and low carbon technologies.
The LowCVP Conference 2016 will also be held in association with the Advanced Propulsion Centre.
