UK Mail has renewed its contract with the Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) after what it described as a “competitive tender process”. The mail carrier, which recently underwent a makeover with a new logo and website, will remain responsible for the collection, sortation and delivery of RBS’s mail across the UK. Clipper Logistics saw its pre-tax profit climb more than 25% in the second half of 2016, boosted by new contract wins and the expansion of its Click and Collect service.
MT Top 100 operator UK Mail Group posted a 63% growth in pre-tax profit, and 8% growth in turnover, in the first six months of its financial year underlining a period of what chief executive Guy Buswell described as “very strong growth”.
An inquiry is to be held by MPs in the Transport Select Committee into local decision-making on transport expenditure.
