Howard Tenens has climbed into the saddle with Ariat Europe, after it signed a five-year contract with the equestrian footwear and clothing brand.

Ariat chose to outsource its logistics operation to a third party in order to focus on and expand its core business, and awarded Howard Tenens the deal after a “thorough” selection process.

Howard Tenens’ work for Ariat Europe will include picking and packing both internet and standard orders, warehousing space for 4,000 Ariat pallets and up to 800 orders being sent out of its Swindon facility every week.

The firm also consolidated Ariat’s four warehouses into one to increase the efficiency of the operation.

Jamie Hartles, logistics director at Tenens, comments: “Ariat’s highly recognisable and reputable retail brand fits extremely well with our existing customer portfolio.

“The implementation has been very successful and the intricacies of the solution we have provided has resulted in a logistics service which we are all very proud of.”
