A dispute over the transfer of 87 Coventry-based Co-operative Food drivers to haulier Eddie Stobart looks set to be resolved after further negotiations. Unite said this week it will recommend its members accept the offer “hammered out after two days of hard bargaining” at ACAS. Stobart Group has sold a 51% stake in its transport division to Douglasbay Capital (Dbay) – the former owners of TDG – for £280.8m. The move sees William Stobart become chief executive of the newly formed, and once again privately owned, Eddie Stobart Logistics.
