Volvo Trucks will be showcasing its commitment to safer, urban freight movements at the fifth annual Clocs progress event in London next week.

A low-entry cab (LEC) FE 6x2 rear-steer tipper will be on display (pictured), together with an N3 on-road specified FM 8x4 tipper with a lower window in the passenger door.

The FM is in the high visibility livery of the Metropolitan Police and is used for cycle awareness and ‘Exchanging Places’ road safety events.

Volvo's FE LEC offers better direct vision thanks to the cab's low, forward mounting and an extra vision panel in the wide nearside door, as well as an additional window behind the driver.

The truck's driving position is 200mm lower than the standard FE and also features ergonomic low instep and ‘kneeling’ function through its full air suspension.

A cyclist proximity warning system with four cameras is fitted, as is full rear, side and under-run protection.

You can visit Volvo Trucks' stand at the fifth Clocs progress event at London's ExCeL on 23 March.
