An interim agreement has been reached between the DVSA and unions Prospect and the PCS in their long-running dispute over terms and conditions for staff at the government agency. SJ Bargh has signed its first entirely organic milk contract with the Organic Milk Suppliers Cooperative (Omsco) The three-year deal will see the logistics company collecting around 50 million litres of milk a year from farms in Central England, North Wales, Lancashire and Yorkshire. The operation, which began last month, is based at SJ Bargh’s Endon depot near Stoke-on-Trent. ACS&T has signed a new five-year contract extending its work for Italian food manufacturer Ticco Foods. The firm, which runs two Ticco-liveried trucks, will receive inbound goods at its Wolverhampton depot from suppliers in the UK and Italy, create consolidated loads and deliver them to customers nationwide in the food service sector – primarily restaurants and high street retailer cafes, wholesalers and brokers, said ACS&T MD, Malcolm Johnstone (pictured, right).
