Whistl has signed a seven year contract with pension and asset management company Aegon.

The former TNT Post will collect, sort and transport 10 million items of post for Edinburgh-based Aegon every week.

The operation will be fulfilled at the company’s new Tannochside sorting depot, which opened last year. Three times the size than its former Coatbridge site, it can sort up to two million items a week.

Whistl also recently won a contract to sort 20 million items a year for Dixons Carphone, which was previously held jointly by UK Mail and Secured Mail.

The new contracts came as Whistl signed a host of contract renewals with its customers across the UK.

These included Sky, the AA, Cotton Traders, Direct Wines and Synertec.
