Profit at Hargreaves Services’ transport division plummeted by more than£1m in the six months to November 2015, as the company was hammered by adverse conditions in the coal, steel, construction and waste markets and unseasonably warm winter weather. Construction products manufacturer British Gypsum has entered into a new contract with DHL for the distribution of plaster products from its site at Barrow upon Soar, Leicestershire. DHL will transport all deliveries from the site to customers across the UK, handling up to 130 full loads a day.
Wincanton has delivered a “boringly predictable” set of results for the six months to 30 September 2013, with group turnover down 1.6% at £542.3m and operating profit up 2.1% to £24.2m compared with the same period last year.
Wincanton saw revenue grow by 1.7% to £1.2bn in the year ending 31 March 2021, fuelled by strong performances in digital and e-fulfilment and new wins in the public sector.
