Brigade Electronics has said ensuring the safety of both HGV drivers and vulnerable road users will increasingly be a top priority for cities in the North of England as economic activity grows.
The safety systems firm was speaking ahead of its participation in next month’s Freight in the City Spring Summit in Manchester, which will be taking the urban logistics debate out of London to the northern powerhouse region.
Emily Hardy, UK marketing manager, told Freightinthcity: “With the government’s planned investment in the northern regions of the UK, we can expect to see an increase in the number of construction and logistics vehicles on the roads, meaning we need to assess and ensure the safety of all drivers, cyclists and pedestrians.”
This year sees Brigade celebrating 40 years’ experience in developing technology to tackle the ever-increasing challenges of urban deliveries.
