Asda has taken delivery of 253 Scanias for its base, chilled and petroleum fleets – cementing a 23-year-old relationship between the retailer and manufacturer.
The bulk of the order comprises Scania G410s, 93 of which are 6x2s with mid-lifts, and 68 4x2s.
A further 38 4x2s and 17 6x2s with mid-lift axles will be operated by NFT Distribution on behalf of Asda for chilled distributions.
Completing the order are 37 6x2 P450s, which will be operated by DHL Supply Chain on Asda’s petroleum distribution fleet.
