Consolidated results for the Woodside Haulage group of companies show that the County Antrim operator saw pre-tax profit soar 42% last year. The substantial increase to £1.4m, compared with £999,000 in 2014, was on the back of a healthy 6.3% increase in turnover to £54.6m in the year ending 31 March 2015. Owens has returned to profit after three consecutive years of losses, its latest financial results have revealed.
UK Mail saw its profit tumble by more than 80% in the six months ending 30 September 2015, after its relocation to a new hub and “teething issues” with the facility’s technology.
