Outspoken Delivery is to hire out electric-assist cargo bikes in Norwich and Cambridge following a government initiative to boost the uptake of electric bikes in the UK. The cycle logistics firm’s fleet of electric cargo bikes will be available for use by local businesses and individuals outside of its peak operational times. Mercury Fuel Systems will be heading to Freight in the City Expo to speak with operators about reducing harmful emissions and lowering fuel costs from blending liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) into their existing diesel HGVs. The company’s Quicksilver-AFI fully sequential LPG injection system is designed for use in the majority of HGV diesel engines up to and including Euro-6 specification. XPO Logistics signs up to BOC’s gas refuelling station following purchase of 10 dual-fuel HGVs

XPO Logistics has become one of the first third-party companies to sign up to use BOC’s liquid natural gas (LNG) refuelling station in Teeside, Middlesbrough, after it purchased 10 dual-fuel HGVs. The trucks, which run on a combination of LNG and diesel, are part of what XPO described as its “commitment to develop sustainable logistics solutions door to door”.
