Ceva Logistics has won 10-year contracts with four major retailers with a combined value of $400m (£260.2m). The supply chain management firm will provide warehousing, store deliveries, e-commerce fulfilment, returns and international distribution to ladies’ fashion retailers Coast, Karen Millen, Oasis and Warehouse. Two leading logistics firms have questioned plans for a new residential development in Yorkshire that would involve the construction of a new primary school and numerous homes adjacent to their operating sites. Hermes has revealed that each of its ParcelShops handled an average 60 parcels a week in the run up to Christmas, as more than 60,000 parcels were moved through the network during the festive period. Hermes has been awarded a two year extension on its contract with shoe retailer Clarks, which has seen it deliver three million parcels for the company since it won the contract in 2012.
