Maritime Transport has won a distribution contract with Procter and Gamble. The contract will see Maritime transporting goods from three P&G DCs to retailers across the country, with a central operation at the haulier’s Northampton depot. The combination of a full-year of contributions from Roadways Container Logistics (RCL), and “significant progress” in its distribution business saw turnover hit nearly £200m and pre-tax profit rise 75% at Maritime Transport.
Nick Matthews, formerly MD of Roadways Container Logistics, has joined Pentalver as general manager of its Cannock operation just weeks after Roadways was bought by Maritime Transport.
